Sergei Prasolov, CEOCrystalSound is redefining this narrative by seamlessly blending technology with tradition, ensuring guided tours retain their authenticity and engagement. Its state-of-the-art Radioguides and Audioguides are designed to enhance—not replace—the guide’s storytelling, making it effortless for both guides and visitors to stay fully present in the moment. With intuitive, lightweight devices, the process is as simple as a guide handing out the units and saying, “Just put on the headphones, and we’re ready to go.”
More than 800 tour operators worldwide trust CrystalSound to elevate their tours. Whether navigating bustling city streets or exploring hushed museum halls, CrystalSound ensures every word is heard with perfect clarity, allowing visitors to immerse themselves fully in the experience.
“The best tours happen when visitors are absorbed in the journey, not distracted by clunky devices or struggling to hear,” says Sergei Prasolov, CEO. “Our technology strips away those frustrations, ensuring every word reaches the listener, no matter the environment.”
Plug and Play—Experience Simplified Audio Tours
The transmitter and receiver are designed without a power button. To turn them on, the guide and the visitors have to plug in their microphones and headphones.
Devices with a 5-meter radius automatically sync to the same channel as the transmitter. The built-in software automatically switches across the 700 available communication channels to avoid transmission overlap between tour groups. Another 5,000 channels are being added, with the company introducing new built-in AI features to provide more versatility that nearly eliminates the chance of a group overlap.
“Our transmitters are smart. They understand which other transmitters are nearby and automatically change channels to avoid interference. No one even notices it happening,” says Prasolov.

Suppose a tourist has a question for the guide or a notification that needs to be passed on to the entire group. They can press and hold the volume down button on the receiver to activate the two-way communication feature and deliver the message. With a range of up to 150 meters in an open area, tourists and guides can be assured that the stories and instructions are always heard while they enjoy and explore at their own pace.
The device’s exceptional battery life makes it a perfect solution for extended tours and multi-day excursions lasting up to two weeks. Current models last up to 100 hours and newer models extend to an unprecedented 150 hours on a single charge.
When it’s time to recharge, the convenient charging case doubles as a storage and power station, keeping all devices organised and ready for the next adventure.
Saving Time, Money and Translators
The receiver of Radioguides also doubles as an Audioguide, providing individual visitors with a more personalised tour with pre-recorded audio. In places of attraction, Bluetooth tags are installed. Once the visitor brings the audio guide near the tags, they play the necessary content. The visitor can always return to the previous display and the material begins playing from the point it stops. The device can also switch between audio and video sources, allowing maximum immersion effect.
While listening, visitors can switch between their preferred languages using the volume buttons, which also double as language selection controls. This ensures a seamless and enhanced tour experience without the need for multiple translators.
The audio guide offers benefits both indoors and outdoors. Guides can group multi-language visitors into one group, saving tour operators time, money and resources.
Need Interpreting Systems for Conferences? You Got Them
CrystalSound’s Simultaneous Interpreting Desk System takes the translation and multi-language capability to the next level for more significant events like congress conferences, coaching and more. This works alongside the Radioguide system, enabling the audio heard from the receiver to be translated into the listener’s preferred language in real time. The system can be installed in analogue mediums with the available wires and infrastructure. The built-in battery in the desk system can run for 16 hours, allowing it to be set up digitally with the freedom of hosting an event or a conference, even at places like the park or anywhere else.
In just five minutes, it will be ready to translate anything in any language in real-time. The system also comes with repeaters that function similarly to Wi-Fi repeaters but, in this case, extend the already vast 100 meters of the interpreting system for a more prominent place with a larger audience.
Streamline Your Tours, Manage Everything from Your Phone
Each system comes with its own app that helps manage the devices better—the CS.Counter app, which comes with the case for the transmitter and the receiver, informs the guide about the battery percentage left on all the devices without having to check each device individually. After the excursion, the guide can bring their phone near the collected devices to get an instant count on them. This makes it faster and easier, avoiding the hassle of counting and checking the battery in each device after the excursion.
The CS.Leaderguide application can be loaded with the audio for a multi-language tour group. The tour operator can have the content ready in the application and can have a multi-language group on a route tour together in a single bus. The visitors can then choose their desired language directly from their Audioguides.
The CS:Tags app helps configure the Bluetooth tags inside museums or other attractions where they are placed. The range from when the audios are triggered to when the receivers are near the tags can also be configured through the app. This allows the operators a level of flexibility in enabling them to configure the system to provide the visitors with the best experience possible.
A Case for Quality and Reliability
These devices are held and worked by different people in different environments. To tackle this, they are built with quality in mind while offering water- and dust-resistant for those accidental drops.
One operator who previously relied on traditional audio guide systems found that CrystalSound’s superior quality and reliability significantly enhanced their tours and improved customer satisfaction—initially opting for inferior devices to save costs. They quickly encountered problems with poor audio quality and frequent malfunctions. After just a year, these devices had failed, leaving the operator without support and facing unexpected replacement costs.
Switching to CrystalSound was a turning point for them; the devices come with warranty and support while delivering a level of performance and ease of use that is unmatched in the industry. This allowed them to focus on delivering exceptional tour experiences, leading to happier customers and a stronger bottom line.
A Partner in Tourism Excellence
CrystalSound views itself as more than just a technology provider; it is a partner invested in the success of its clients in the tourism sector.
